Endoscopy

Endoscopy is a non-surgical procedure performed in order to look into a person’s digestive tract. Using an endoscope, a flexible tube with a light and camera attached to it, the pictures of the digestive tract is viewed on a TV Monitor. An endoscope is easily passed through the mouth and throat and into the esophagus, allowing the doctor to view the esophagus, stomach and upper part of the small intestine.   Endoscopy is performed for the patients suffering from gastrointestinal disorders, gastrointestinal bleeding etc.For the patients with swallowing difficulty, due to oesophageal disorders and for many other stomach related disorders.
